Hydrogen Ion Materials Group at NIMS design "functional hydrogen" in materials and pursue both the creation of new functionalities, particularly in electrocatalysis, and the elucidation of their underlying mechanisms. 

By integrating computation, synthesis, and advanced surface science technique, we aim to design materials where hydrogen plays an active functional role.
